It certainly has not been pretty, but the Steelers have managed to pull out wins in each of their first three games of the season. The team has achieved this feat by using tough defense to hold their opponents at bay. While their first two opponents were nothing to boast about, the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh’s offense looked a little more in sync last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, as the team hit 20 points for the first time in 2024, leading to a 20-10 win. What the Steelers are doing might be unsustainable, but they are finding ways to come out on top.
The same was not being said about the Colts early on. After narrowly losing to the Houston Texans to kick off the season, Indianapolis’ offense went silent against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. Yet, Anthony Richardson and company played well enough last week to finally pick up their first win of the season, pulling out a 21-16 victory over the Chicago Bears. There is still plenty to learn with their young quarterback, but the Colts have shown they have the defense to give them a chance to win.
The Steelers are 27-7 against the Colts, though Indy beat up Pittsburgh last December, 30-13.
MY PICK: Colts win, 21-15
